Group psychological support for intercultural assistants – join us!
The Kalejdoskop Kultur Foundation is continuing its series of monthly supervision sessions for intercultural assistants and school staff working with children with a migration background. It is an opportunity to receive professional guidance, share experiences and strengthen your skills in working with pupils. The sessions are held in Ukrainian.
Through group work, intercultural assistants will:
– Receive professional psychological advice on their specific cases,
– Develop constructive strategies for dealing with difficulties in school interactions,
– Share their own experience,
– Receive the psychological support they need to replenish their resources for continued effective work.
During these sessions we will:
– Discuss conflicts in children’s groups and ways of resolving them (mobbing, bullying, discrimination);
– Learn effective strategies for working with parents (non-violent communication, mediation);
– Explore stress management techniques (techniques for stabilising emotional states, self-regulation, preventing burnout);
– Look at providing emotional support to pupils (defusing aggression, helping with adaptation and reintegration).
