The Wrocław Seniors’ Centre (Wrocławskie Centrum Seniora), part of WCRS, is committed to the dignity of older people and invites you to a series of talks held to mark International Human Rights Day. Over three days of knowledge, reflection and discussion, participants will explore various aspects of the dignity of older people.
✳️ 7 December, 11:00 – Prof. Maria Straś-Romanowska will give a talk entitled “The Dignity of Older People from a Psychogerontological Perspective”. We will look at old age through the eyes of psychogerontology, the science that studies the ageing process from a psychological perspective.
✳️ 8 December, 11:00 – Dr Walentyna Wnuk will focus on the question of whether the dignity of older people is a privilege. This will be an opportunity for a deeper analysis of issues relating to the concept of dignity in the context of an ageing society.
✳️ 9 December, 11:00 – Dr Janusz Maj will take us on a journey through the philosophical context of the right to dignity, old age and the desire for recognition. It will be a time to reflect on the philosophical aspects of older people’s dignity and their right to respect.
