Ukraiński klub książki w Przejściu Dialogu - zaproszenie na wydarzenie

We warmly invite everyone to the monthly meetings of the Ukrainian Book Club, where we discover and delve into a wide variety of literature.

Meeting details

When? 6.09, 17:00
Where? Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu), ul. Świdnicka 19
Free admission, no registration required!

Book of the month: The Museum of Abandoned Secrets by Oksana Zabuzhko – a modern epic of contemporary Ukraine: a family saga spanning three generations, from the 1940s to the spring of 2004. Great literature and brutal truth – about the power of the past over the future, about love, betrayal and death, and about humanity’s eternal struggle for the right to be oneself.

We will announce the dates of future meetings as they are confirmed!

About the club

The “Ukrainian Book Club” was founded at the end of 2021 by three Ukrainian writers: Yaroslava Lytvyn, Anna Demina and Larysa Rudak. They were later joined by another writer, Jana-Maria Kushnerova. Since September 2023 the meetings have been held at the Passage of Dialogue. We read and discuss contemporary and classic prose, both Ukrainian and international. What we read is up to you, as participants themselves suggest the books for discussion.

The meetings are held in Ukrainian, so they are a great opportunity for anyone living in a Polish-speaking environment to brush up on their Ukrainian.
