11.12 | Ukrainian Book Club at Passage of Dialogue!

Ukraiński klub książki w Przejściu Dialogu.

Everyone is welcome to join the monthly meetings of the Ukrainian Book Club, where we discover and explore a wide range of literature.

Meeting details

When? 11.12, 17:00
Where? Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu), ul. Świdnicka 19
Free admission, no registration needed!

This month’s book: Mike Johannsen, “The Journey of the Learned Doctor Leonardo…” – a surreal tale of an extraordinary expedition, in which the grotesque, humour and philosophical reflection weave together into a fascinating satire on the modern world. The book takes the reader on a journey full of absurdity that provokes thought and invites them to uncover hidden meanings.

We will keep you posted about the dates of future meetings!

About the club

The “Ukrainian Book Club” was founded at the end of 2021 by three Ukrainian writers: Yaroslava Lytvyn, Anna Demina and Larysa Rudak. They were later joined by another writer, Jana-Maria Kushnerova. Since September 2023 the meetings have been held at Passage of Dialogue. We read and discuss contemporary and classic prose, both Ukrainian and international. What we read is up to each of you, as participants suggest the books for discussion themselves.

We talk in Ukrainian, so it is a great opportunity for anyone living in a Polish-speaking environment to improve their Ukrainian.
