November is a special time in Wrocław – we celebrate the Month of Support and Kindness, during which the Wrocław Centre for Social Development (WCRS) – Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu) – invites you to events that promote empathy, openness and mutual understanding. This year’s slogan, “Find Yourself Among the Kind”, encourages us to share a kind word, a bit of humour and support every day.

From Hate to Kindness – how to build a culture of respect in relationships – workshops for young people
This workshop on recognising online hate and building kind communication will help young people understand what hate speech is and how to respond to it responsibly and with empathy. Participants will learn to tell hate apart from constructive criticism, discover ways of responding to aggression both online and in real life, and pick up practical ways of creating an atmosphere of mutual respect within a group.
During the session participants will:
– analyse examples of hate and hate speech on social media and in everyday situations;
– do exercises that build the ability to respond to difficult situations calmly and with empathy;
– learn strategies for positive communication and for supporting others in the group;
– learn how to take responsibility for their words and actions, so that together we can build a safe and friendly environment.
The workshop combines theory with practice – through games, role-play and discussion – giving young people the chance to actively practise new skills and experience the benefits of kind communication.
