Book of the month: “Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe” by Fannie Flagg, a timeless story about the power of friendship and female solidarity.
We will keep you posted about the dates of further meetings!
“Ukrainian Book Club” was founded at the end of 2021 by three Ukrainian writers: Yaroslava Lytvyn, Anna Demina and Larysa Rudak. Another writer, Jana-Maria Kushnerova, later joined the group. Since September 2023 the meetings have been held at the Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu).
We read and discuss contemporary and classic Ukrainian and international prose. What we read is up to you, as participants themselves suggest the books for discussion.
We communicate in Ukrainian, so it is a great opportunity for anyone living in a Polish-speaking environment to brush up their Ukrainian.
