16.11 | Ukrainian Book Club at the Passage of Dialogue!

Ukraiński klub książki w Przejściu Dialogu! Okładka książki "Kolonia. Nowe Mroczne Wieki." (Max Kidruk)

Everyone is welcome to the monthly meetings of the Ukrainian Book Club, where we will discover and explore a wide range of literature

The second meeting at the Passage will take place on 16 November at 17:00 at ul. Świdnicka 19.

Admission free, no registration required!

The chosen book: “Colony. The New Dark Ages” (Max Kidruk) – a gripping science-fiction novel that transports the reader to a strikingly realistic future. The author has created an imaginary world that reflects the problems of today’s world, including relations between countries, wars over resources, economic inequality and social conflict. The book tells the story of people living on Mars with scarce resources and a poor quality of life.

The Ukrainian Book Club was founded at the end of 2021 by three Ukrainian writers: Yaroslava Lytvyn, Anna Demina and Larysa Rudak. They were later joined by another writer, Jana-Maria Kushnerova. Since September 2023 our meetings have been held at the Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu).
We read and discuss contemporary and classic prose, both Ukrainian and international. What we read is up to you, as participants suggest the books for discussion themselves.
We talk in Ukrainian, so it is a great opportunity for anyone living in a Polish-speaking environment to brush up on their Ukrainian.

We will keep you posted about upcoming meetings!
