17.11 | The “Online Sensitivity Code” and my mental health – a workshop during Kindness Month at the Passage of Dialogue

November is a special time in Wrocław – we celebrate the Month of Support and Kindness, during which the Wrocław Centre for Social Development (WCRS) – Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu) – invites you to events that promote empathy, openness and mutual understanding. This year’s slogan, “Find Yourself Among the Kind”, encourages us to share a kind word, a bit of humour and support every day.

The “Online Sensitivity Code” and my mental health – workshops by the Fundacja Zdrowego Postępu (Healthy Progress Foundation)

Every day we scroll through hundreds of social media posts – but do we know how to respond when one of our friends, or someone we follow, posts something that suggests a mental health crisis? During this workshop run by the Fundacja Zdrowego Postępu we will get to know the “Social Media Sensitivity Code” – a practical guide that shows how to support others online and how to build a digital space full of empathy and mindfulness.

Participants will learn how to recognise the signs of a mental health crisis, how it differs online from offline experiences, and how to respond with empathy, without judgement or “well-meant advice”. The experts will talk about the most common mistakes and barriers when it comes to responding, and about how each of us can make a real difference to the wellbeing of others online.

The workshop will be interactive – a short talk will be followed by an open discussion with participants about relationships on social media, the courage to respond to crises, and personal experiences of the digital world.

When? 17 November 2025, 17:00-19:00
Where? Passage of Dialogue (ul. Świdnicka 19, in the pedestrian underpass)
For whom? adults and young people interested in mental health and online communication
