Yesterday the Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu) hosted a press conference with the Mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, and distinguished guests, at which 2022 was declared the Year of Good Relations – Against Loneliness.
Wrocław has become the first city in Europe to tackle the problem of loneliness comprehensively. Loneliness is no longer associated only with older people; nowadays it can affect anyone, regardless of age, education or social status.
The ambassadors of this wonderful initiative are Olga Tokarczuk, writer and Nobel Prize laureate; Anna Wyszkoni, singer; and Andrzej Piaseczny, singer.

Over the course of the year there will be many city-wide and neighbourhood events, including an academic conference on loneliness, an information campaign, and special editions of Kindness Day, the Wrocław Dance (Wrocławska Potańcówka), Senior Days and summer fêtes. The list of events is still open!
During the evening meeting at the Passage of Dialogue, Ania Wyszkoni spoke candidly about loneliness, support and seeking help from professionals.
