Amnesty International’s Write for Rights at the Passage of Dialogue

Write for Rights is the world’s largest human rights campaign. Every year, around International Human Rights Day, millions of people around the world join forces to stand up for specific individuals whose rights are being violated and to change their lives. We write letters to decision-makers who have real influence over the fate of the people we are supporting, and we send messages of solidarity to them and their loved ones.

This year the campaign focuses on the right to peaceful assembly. Demonstrations are an extremely important tool for social change, yet all over the world authorities brutally suppress and unlawfully ban protests. Let’s show our support for those who face prison and persecution simply because they dared to speak out against injustice!
