August with “Wrocław from the Beginning” – popular walks back on the route!

Our family series “Wrocław from the Beginning” continues – educational tours of the city in Ukrainian, held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It is a great opportunity to see Wrocław from a whole new perspective together with your children.

In August we are bringing back two particularly popular themes – the walks participants loved most in previous months! If you didn’t manage to join us last time, now is your chance to catch up – don’t miss it!

“Wrocław from the Beginning” is a series of ten educational and social tours of the city for families with children. In a relaxed, family atmosphere we will discover Wrocław together – its history, how the city works, and forms of social and civic engagement.

The walks are intended for families with children.
Guide: Khrystyna Podolian
Language: Ukrainian with some Polish
Participation is free of charge, but registration for the “From Adaptation to Integration” project is required.

Wrocław – a city of rivers, islands and bridges

7 August (Thursday), 18:00
Did you know that Wrocław is one of the most “watery” cities in Europe? Embraced by the Oder and full of canals, islands and bridges, it holds remarkable stories connected with water. During the walk we will look at how the rivers shaped the city, how its former inhabitants lived along their banks and what secrets lie hidden between the bridges. It is a walk full of beautiful views and fascinating stories.

Wrocław behind the scenes

13 August (Wednesday), 18:00
A city is not just elegant townhouses and historic monuments – a large part of its history is a story of sewers, rubbish and everyday life behind the scenes. If you weren’t with us in July, be sure to join us! This walk will show Wrocław from a completely different side – a “dirty” but fascinating one. You will learn about urban myths, old hygiene habits and what lies beneath the streets.
