Christmas Workshop: Making a Straw Didukh | #ZimaZPrzejsciem

Plakat na wydarzenie w Przejściu Dialogu: warsztat z robienia Diducha ze słomy.

Did you know that Ukrainian Christmas tradition has a unique symbol that carries a special message? The Didukh, a festive sheaf of straw, was an essential part of Christmas. When the first star appeared in the sky, it was carried into the house with the words: “Didukh into the house, poverty out of the house”.

We invite you to a special “Straw Didukh” craft workshop, where you will learn about the tradition of weaving a Didukh and make this beautiful symbol yourself. It takes patience, precision and a little Christmas spirit – and the end result is well worth it.

The organiser provides all the necessary materials.
