We warmly invite you to take part in a series of regular meetings bringing together people and organisations working in the field of intercultural dialogue, entitled “Together on Interculturalism (Wspólnie o międzykulturowości): meetings of institutions, organisations and committed individuals”.
When and where?
The first meeting will take place on 14 September (Thursday) at 14:00 at Barbara, ul. Świdnicka 8B.
Who is it for?
The meeting is aimed at non-governmental organisations and informal groups working on intercultural dialogue, integration and educational activities, and support for migrants. We also invite organisations and leaders who identify with these issues and would like to get involved.
Why?
The need for regular meetings between non-governmental organisations and representatives of Wrocław City Hall has been raised many times, and most recently it came across very strongly during the meetings reviewing the Wrocław Strategy for Intercultural Dialogue. It is an issue raised by representatives of both the City Hall and civil society. The pandemic and the war in Ukraine severely limited activities of this kind, which is why we would like to make a fresh start on this key element of our cooperation.
The meetings aim to share information on current and planned activities, analyse and define priority needs, share good practice, and work together on responses to current challenges in the field of interculturalism.
What will happen at the meeting?
At the opening meeting we will talk about the current and planned intercultural activities of Wrocław Municipality and non-governmental organisations. It will also be an opportunity to present ongoing or planned projects for which we are looking for partners. Together we will work out the format and themes of future meetings so that they meet participants’ expectations and needs.
Before the meeting, everyone who has registered will receive a file with profiles of the participating organisations, to help participants get to know one another.
What next?
We plan to hold the meetings online every month, and to meet in person once a quarter. The themes of individual meetings will be discussed and agreed on 14 September.
The meeting is open to all; registration via the form on the website of the Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu) is required by 8 September 2023. Please share this information with organisations and individuals interested in the topic – you can do so by sharing our post on Facebook or by sending the link to the form.
The meeting is organised by the Wrocław Centre for Social Development (WCRS) in cooperation with the Foundation for European Studies (FEPS) and the Lower Silesian Federation of Non-Governmental Organisations (DFOP).
