Do you have a child with a migration background and want them to feel more at ease in Polish – at school, among their peers and in everyday situations? Or perhaps you are aged 10-20 yourself and want to speak Polish more confidently, understand others better and find your feet in a new place? Join us for free adaptation and language classes, “Od słowa do słowa” (Word by Word). Children and Young People, organised by the Wrocław Centre for Social Development (WCRS). It is a series of meetings for young people with a migration background who live in Wrocław and want to develop their language skills in a friendly setting.

In our classes we focus on practical language – the kind that is genuinely useful every day: at school, when talking to friends and teachers, out and about or online. We learn through games, conversations, exercises and group work. There is also time to get to know Polish culture and customs – and to meet other young people in a similar situation.
It is also a great opportunity to meet peers from different countries, spend time together, share your interests and make new friends.
“Word by Word. Children and Young People”. Who can take part?
Children and young people aged 10–20 who have not taken part in previous editions of the programme and want to improve their Polish. The classes are intended for beginners (basic-level group) – you do not need to know any Polish to join.

The first round of classes starts on 22 July 2025 and will be run in two groups:
9:00-10:30 – Tuesdays and Wednesdays – ages 10-14
