THREE CONTINENTS – THREE STORIES FROM WROCŁAW: VENEZUELA, INDIA, GEORGIA

Who were the protesters on the streets of Tbilisi in July, and what did they want? What is the legal situation of minorities in Georgia? What has caused hyperinflation in Venezuela, and why are so many Venezuelans emigrating to neighbouring Colombia and Brazil? Is the water crisis the greatest challenge facing India?
With our invited guests, we will discuss current issues in their countries of origin – political and social realities and security concerns. We will talk about quality of life in the countries our guests come from, about famine, about how they themselves understand the rights of women and LGBT+ people, and whether these rights are respected in their home countries. We will not shy away from difficult topics such as war, displacement and poverty.

The #GLOBALWRO meetings aim to introduce the people of Wrocław to the countries our city’s new residents come from – their traditions and religions, but also the global challenges that shape the social and economic situation in their homelands. It is an invitation to multicultural dialogue – a conversation grounded in many different contexts.
Dialogopolis is delivered as part of the ReSTART project, co-financed by the National Programme of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the state budget.
