The CREO Association (Stowarzyszenie CREO) invites anyone interested to a training session as part of the “The Extraordinary Power of Therapy” (“Niezwykła moc terapii”) project – on 16 October at Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu).
The main aim of the project is to increase the knowledge and practical skills of staff and volunteers of organisations and institutions working for people with disabilities, so that they can introduce therapeutic activities in the fields of horticultural therapy, art therapy, music therapy and animal-assisted therapy in their facilities – thereby widening the range of rehabilitation options available to people with disabilities.
The project comprises a comprehensive set of activities addressing the need to increase the knowledge and skills of representatives of institutions and organisations working for people with disabilities in implementing innovative therapeutic solutions.

The Extraordinary Power of Therapy consists of 2 meetings: A training session introducing various types of therapy (art therapy, music therapy, horticultural therapy and animal-assisted therapy). During the 6-hour session, we will discuss each of these therapies and look at how each participant can implement them in their own workplace. Participants will learn how to introduce these forms of therapy step by step, how to involve the organisation’s staff and volunteers in putting them into practice, which forms of therapy are recommended for which groups (different types of disability), and what the benefits of therapy are, as well as the costs of implementing and continuing it.
Individual workshops: 8 hours of one-to-one practice with a trainer in the chosen therapy, e.g. at the participant’s own organisation or institution. The session is designed to address the participant’s individual needs, e.g. how to implement particular techniques, how to prepare the workspace, how to involve the team, and running a therapy session for clients together with the specialist trainer.
THE EXTRAORDINARY POWER OF THERAPY project is co-financed by PFRON – the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons.
