🔍The training session “Volunteering Basics – How to Start and Develop Work with Volunteers” is designed for young non-governmental organisations that want to start involving volunteers in their activities. The session will consist of a theoretical part and a practical part.
In the first part, the legal rules governing volunteering set out in the 2003 Act on Public Benefit Activity and Volunteering will be explained in an accessible way.
📌Topics
- entities entitled to engage volunteers;
- obligations of the host organisation;
- obligations of the volunteer.
🧐Another important aspect will be introducing participants to the issue of sustaining volunteers’ motivation, together with ideas on how to strengthen this voluntary commitment.
The second part of the training is devoted to practice. Participants will have the opportunity to practise preparing a volunteering offer, take part in exercises that help them see the collaboration through a volunteer’s eyes, and prepare for the role of coordinator. Discussions accompanying the workshop activities will be an important element.
