What Comes After the Border? – a discussion in the “Borderline Situations” series

We invite you to an event in the “Borderline Situations” series. During the meeting, we will talk about both the crisis on the Polish–Belarusian border and the way Polish centres for refugees operate.

We will also discuss what life is like for migrants once they have been granted refugee status.

We will ask about the challenges they face as they rebuild their lives in a completely different place.

Taking part in the meeting:
Urszula Glensk, a professor at the University of Wrocław who has been in the Podlasie region since October, reporting on the humanitarian crisis,
Farida Anwari, an Afghan woman who, together with her two children, has been granted refugee status and has been living in Wrocław for a month,
Magdalena Nazimek-Rakoczy – a lawyer who works with refugee centres on behalf of the Nomada Association.
The conversation will be hosted by Joanna Panciuchin from the Programme Department of Strefa Kultury Wrocław.

Admission is free, but for everyone’s safety registration is required – please fill in the form: [link https://copogranicy.webankieta.pl/]

If you don’t manage to book a place, we have good news – the meeting will be streamed live on Facebook, so we also welcome your questions, which you can post in the comments!

The meeting is part of the “Borderline Situations” project, initiated by Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu) at the Wrocław Centre for Social Development (WCRS) and run in cooperation with Strefa Kultury Wrocław, the Lower Silesian Women’s Congress, the “Mothers to the Border” (Matki na granicę) movement and other organisations working to support refugees and migrants.
