Write for Rights (the Letter-Writing Marathon) is the world’s largest human rights campaign. Every year, around International Human Rights Day, millions of people across the globe sit down to write letters standing up for those whose rights have been violated. These letters – addressed to decision-makers and directly to the people at the heart of each case – genuinely change people’s lives. They show them that they are not alone and that pressure from the international community has real power.
This year the Marathon will also take place at the Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu), thanks to our cooperation with Amnesty International and ELSA Wrocław – the European Law Students’ Association.
Why come along?
– Because one letter can change a specific person’s situation.
– Because it is a simple yet highly effective way to show solidarity.
– Because at the Passage of Dialogue we create a space where you can take action, learn and support others.
– Because you can join us for as little as 10 minutes – every card counts.
What will it look like? On site you will find all the materials, descriptions of current cases and help from Amnesty and ELSA Wrocław volunteers. You can write your own letter, use the templates provided or send words of support to people whose rights have been violated.
When? 10.12 (Wednesday), 10:00-17:00
Where? Passage of Dialogue, ul .Świdnicka 19 (underground passage)
