27.08 | Everyday Life at a Polish School – Free Information Meeting

Dear Parents! We warmly invite you to a free information meeting where we will introduce you to the key aspects of how the Polish education system works. It is an excellent opportunity to gain practical knowledge of everyday school life in a friendly atmosphere – from the perspective of pupils, parents and teachers.

Among other things, you will find out:

How primary and secondary schools are structured in Poland,
How children and teenagers are enrolled in school,
What preparatory classes are and who intercultural assistants are,
How parents communicate with teachers and the school administration,
How the grading system works and how pupils prepare for exams,
What support is available to pupils who do not speak Polish and to pupils with special educational needs.

We will also discuss cultural differences that may raise questions, e.g. whether it is customary to give teachers flowers at a Polish school, when to plan summer and winter holidays, what religion and ethics lessons are, and what the consequences of missing school are.

When: 27 August (Thursday), 17:00-18:30

Where: Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu), ul. Świdnicka 10

Language: Ukrainian
