14.12 | Ukrainian Book Club at Passage of Dialogue!

Ukraiński klub książki w Przejściu Dialogu! Okładka książki "Chłopiec z latawcem" Khaled Hosseini.

We invite everyone to the monthly meetings of the Ukrainian Book Club, where we will discover and explore a wide variety of literature.

The second meeting at Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu) will take place on 14 December at 17:00 at ul. Świdnicka 19. Free admission, no registration needed!

Chosen book: Khaled Hosseini, “The Kite Runner” – a universal story of friendship, betrayal and the attempt to atone for past mistakes. A harrowing portrait of Afghanistan, from the fall of the monarchy and the Soviet invasion to the Taliban’s rise to power.

The Ukrainian Book Club was founded at the end of 2021 by three Ukrainian writers: Yaroslava Lytvyn, Anna Demina and Larysa Rudak. They were later joined by another writer, Jana-Maria Kushnerova. Since September 2023, the meetings have been held at Passage of Dialogue.
We read and discuss contemporary and classic Ukrainian and international prose. What we read is up to you, as participants themselves suggest the books for discussion.
The meetings are held in Ukrainian, so they are a great opportunity for anyone living in a Polish-speaking environment to improve their Ukrainian.

We will keep you posted about upcoming meeting dates!
