20.08 | Everyday Life at a Polish School (UA)

Dear Parents! We invite you to a free orientation meeting on the education system in Polish schools. We have prepared a big dose of knowledge about the everyday life of pupils, parents and teachers.

We will talk about:

What primary and secondary schools are in Poland.

How children and teenagers are enrolled in schools.

What preparatory classes are and who intercultural assistants are.

How communication works between parents and teachers, and between parents and the school administration.

Grading systems and exam preparation at each level.

Support for non-Polish-speaking pupils and pupils with special needs.

We will also touch on intercultural differences. For example, we will discuss whether it is customary to give flowers to teachers in Polish schools, when you can plan summer holidays and when winter holidays, why religion or ethics classes are useful, what the consequences of not attending school are, and more.

When: 20 August, 17:00–19:00
