In November 2023 Wrocław will host a series of OPEN DISCUSSIONS with historians, artists, cultural figures, politicians, activists and residents of the city.
The next open discussion, on “Belarusian Culture as an Inspiration and a Tool for Change”, featuring Marek Stanielewicz, will take place on 10 November 2023 (Friday) at 18:00,
📍 Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu), ul. Świdnicka 19
Moderator: Henryk Mazurkiewicz
Everyone is welcome to join the open discussions. Ask your questions during the meetings, or write to us in the comments (or in a private message).
⠀
The open discussions aim to:
✔️ ️ strengthen the integration of Belarusians into Polish society,
✔️ ️ share knowledge about the history, culture, heritage and current events in Belarus,
✔️ ️ foster a sense of community among those who have been forced to leave their country and now live in Wrocław,
✔️ ️ combat stereotypes, xenophobia and other negative phenomena that stand in the way of building intercultural ties, in a spirit of respect for national and cultural differences.
⠀
#razemlepiej (“better together”) – the motto of the talks remains the slogan of the 11th Festival of Independent Belarusian Culture, held in Wrocław on 1–8 October 2023. (Link to the Festival report.)
⠀
Let’s keep talking about Belarus so that change comes sooner, because we are #razemlepiej – better together!
The meetings are held with the support of the Mieroszewski Centre.
