Join us for the second meeting in the “Strengthening Parenting Skills” series of educational events for parents, organised by the Department of Health, on the theme “Supporting Parenthood in the Context of Migration and Displacement”. Together with psychologist Liudmyla Kovalenko, we will focus on issues relating to the difficulties children face in adapting in a situation of forced migration.

At the meeting:
• We will describe the different age groups and talk about age-related crises, and try to find effective ways of overcoming them.
• We will discuss the main difficulties children face in adapting to a new environment.
• We will outline the symptoms and consequences of war trauma in children.
• We will look at ways of coping with stress and uncertainty based on the integrative BASIC Ph model.
