Join us for a meeting devoted to one of philosophy’s most important questions – what happiness is and whether we have any influence over it. Our starting point will be Władysław Tatarkiewicz’s book “On Happiness”, in which the author distinguishes four concepts of happiness: good fortune, pleasure, eudaimonia and satisfaction with life as a whole.

– Does happiness depend on chance or on our choices?
– Is lasting “satisfaction with life as a whole” possible?
– In a world of uncertainty and haste, is such a vision of happiness realistic?

During the meeting we will consider together whether happiness is something we can consciously build.
