Can a scientist and a philosopher think alike? Is truth merely a product of language and culture? What philosophical lessons lie hidden in computer games? On 17 April 2026 the third edition of our series of philosophical meetings – the Philosophical Survival School – kicks off at Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu).
Philosophical Survival School. About the project
The “Philosophical Survival School” is an initiative for everyone who wants to develop their philosophical sensitivity by exploring both everyday choices and the big questions about the nature of reality, truth, happiness and social dialogue. The meetings were created by the Applied Philosophy Student Research Group at the University of Wrocław in cooperation with the Wrocław Centre for Social Development (WCRS). Admission is free and no prior registration is required.
In the new edition we will look at the philosophy of science, the philosophy of yoga, rhetoric in the media, Władysław Tatarkiewicz’s theory of happiness and philosophical interpretations of computer games.
The lectures will take place at Passage of Dialogue, ul. Świdnicka 19 (underpass).
