“The Intercultural Services Market”. A debate in the “How Is the City Changing?” series

Pan z walizką biegnie. Zaproszenie na debatę w Przejściu Dialogu.

The Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu) invites you to “The Intercultural Services Market”, a meeting in the debate series “How Is the City Changing? Urban Space and Wrocław’s New Residents”, devoted to the changes that have taken place in Wrocław’s intercultural landscape in recent years

🧐We will be discussing the changes in the services market that have come about as a result of recent migration and refugee movements.

🌍Multiculturalism affects every sphere of social life and is also shaping Wrocław’s services market, including catering, education and tourism. Their customers are no longer a homogeneous group to whom a single, uniform offer can be addressed; they are people from different cultures, with different needs and expectations.

🗓06.06 (Tuesday), 17:00–19:00
📍Świdnicka 19, Passage of Dialogue

Moderator: Małgorzata Burnecka (Wroclife Foundation).
Guests: Tetiana Kondratyeva (Wroclife Foundation for Ukraine), Jacek Sterczewski (Łokietka 5 – Infopunkt Nadodrze), Oleksandr Podolian (owner of the “Gniazdo” café).

📌Admission is open; no registration is required.

Questions we will try to answer:

How can you find your feet in the market when language becomes a barrier to communication and intercultural differences in behaviour, values and norms lead to misunderstandings? How can you operate effectively when standard interpersonal skills and marketing strategies prove insufficient and not flexible enough?
