The Ukrainian Book Club invites you to a themed evening devoted to Lesya Ukrainka. We will talk about the writer’s education, work and travels. We will also discuss her meeting with Merzhynsky and their love/friendship, her intellectual closeness to Drahomanov and her relationship with Kobylianska. And, of course, about why Lesya Ukrainka is so remarkable, what she did for Ukrainian culture and literature in particular, and why we know so little about her.

When? 23.02 | 17:00

Where? Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu), Świdnicka 19 (underpass)

Hosts: Yulia Cherevan, writer, MA in philology, researcher of 20th-century Ukrainian literature; Larysa Rudak, writer, MA in philology and literature.
