Book of the month: The Museum of Abandoned Secrets – Oksana Zabuzhko – a modern epic of contemporary Ukraine: a family saga spanning three generations, from the 1940s to the spring of 2004. Great literature and brutal truth – about the power of the past over the future, about love, betrayal and death, and about the age-old human struggle for the right to be oneself.

We will keep you posted about future meeting dates!

About the club

The “Ukrainian Book Club” was founded at the end of 2021 by three Ukrainian writers: Yaroslava Lytvyn, Anna Demina and Larysa Rudak. They were later joined by another writer, Jana-Maria Kushnerova. Since September 2023 the meetings have been held at the Passage of Dialogue. We read and discuss contemporary and classic Ukrainian and international prose. What we read is up to all of you, as participants themselves suggest the books for discussion.

We speak Ukrainian, so this is a great opportunity for anyone living in a Polish-speaking environment to brush up their Ukrainian.
