We are continuing our family series “Wrocław from the Beginning” – educational tours of the city in Ukrainian, held in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. It is a great opportunity to look at Wrocław from a completely new perspective together with your children.
In June we invite you on two walks – one new and one repeat – for those who were unable to join us earlier.
“Wrocław from the Beginning” is a series of ten educational and social walks around the city for families with children. In a relaxed, family atmosphere we will discover Wrocław together – its history, how the city works, and the forms of social and civic engagement it offers.
The walks are intended for families with children.
Led by: Khrystyna Podolian
Language: Ukrainian with elements of Polish
Participation is free of charge, but registration for the “From Adaptation to Integration” project is required.
Wrocław – a city of rivers and islands
17 June (Tuesday), 17:00
Did you know that Wrocław has more bridges than Venice? On this walk we will discover Wrocław as a city built on water – for centuries its rivers, canals and islands have set the city’s pulse. We will find out how the Oder shaped the everyday life of its residents, where little hidden bridges are tucked away and how water has changed the face of Wrocław. It will be a story full of watery surprises and city legends – perfect for a family walk from a completely new perspective!

(Priority will be given to people who have not yet taken part in the “Wrocław from the Beginning” walks run as part of the FEDS project.)
Me and the city. Urban planning (a repeat of the May walk)
28 June (Saturday), 10:00
For those who missed it in May, we are returning to the theme of urban planning. We will look at Wrocław as a living organism: how the city influences our decisions, the rhythm of our lives and our relationships – and how we shape its spaces. We will discover the hidden language of streets, housing estates and city squares.
