Activism and social engagement are also the domain of mothers who want to make their voices heard in many different areas. What challenges do engaged mothers face, what do they need, and how are they received by society? In this workshop we will consider together whether women – mothers – who want to be socially active can count on support, and if so, from whom. We will talk about whether motherhood and social activism are two mutually exclusive spheres. We will think about what would have to change for mothers who were once deeply involved in activism to be able to fulfil themselves in this area again.
