Do we live in a patriarchy, in the Matrix, or perhaps in something else entirely? Contemporary feminist philosophy and the manosphere are two worlds that often clash, presenting completely different visions of reality. One side speaks of systemic oppression, the other of the brutal rules of the “dating market”. Where does the truth lie?
At the final meeting of the “Philosophical Survival School” – “Contemporary Feminist Philosophy and the Manosphere. Do We Live in the Matrix or in a Patriarchy?” – we will look at the ideas of feminism and the manosphere in all their diversity. Is there a real conflict here? Or, instead of a war of narratives, is it worth looking for common ground? Red, blue or black – which pill will you choose? Or would you rather try each one and decide which makes the most sense?
Join the discussion and share your perspective!

Philosophical Survival School: about the project
The “Philosophical Survival School” is a series of open discussions, debates and lectures created in cooperation between the Wrocław Centre for Social Development (WCRS) and the Applied Philosophy Student Research Group at the University of Wrocław. The second edition of the series starts on 11 April and will address questions of ethics, art, anarchism and the environment. It is open to anyone who wants to look at the world through the lens of philosophy – everyone who seeks philosophical sensitivity in getting to know themselves and the world around them, and who would also like to share their own experience.
