The Wrocław Seniors’ Centre (Wrocławskie Centrum Seniora) and the Passage of Dialogue (Przejście Dialogu) – both teams of the Wrocław Centre for Social Development (WCRS) – invite you to a Seniors’ Art Private View.

The exhibition will be officially opened on 23 November 2023 (Thursday) at 11:00. It will then be on display for two weeks in the Passage of Dialogue space.

On show will be works by artists who express their sensitivity on canvas and in volumes of poetry. The works were prepared especially for this exhibition.

“The Beauty of Nature” presents works by Genowefa Kołacka, a participant of the Senior+ Day Centre run by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Oleśnica. The collection consists of paintings in acrylics. The artist has always been interested in art, which soon grew into a passion for painting. Besides the visual arts, she loves poetry and writes poems and short stories herself. Recently, Ms Kołacka received a distinction in the “Senior Storyteller” competition organised by the Manko Association – Głos Seniora.

“The Four Seasons” presents works by Józef Duda, a lover of poetry and art and a student of the University of the Third Age at the Medical University. Mr Duda’s collection also consists of acrylic paintings, capturing the changing seasons. The illustrations of nature will be accompanied by selected extracts from his poetry collection “Co w duszy gra” (What the Soul Plays), read by his fellow U3A students. In Mr Duda’s works we find charming rural landscapes, and in his writing “what thought and memory bring”.

We look forward to seeing you at the Passage!
