The “Map of Wishes” creative space and the exhibition “Soviet Closed Ward” by Alexandra Konofalskaya.
“SOVIET CLOSED WARD” (Sojuznaja palata) (2022-2023) is a satirical animated series by the NEXTA media outlet, drawn and brought to life in stop-motion animation by the artist Alexandra Konofalskaya.
It is set in the near future, when immature dictators end up in a psychiatric clinic with personality disorders and a distorted picture of reality. Doctor Sciapan Pucila treats them, debunking the patients’ main myths.
Creating the five episodes on which the exhibition is based required countless watercolour details.

At the exhibition you will be able to see the stop-motion animation that is the result of the artist’s many hours of work. It is painstaking, almost lace-like work, requiring the creation of countless details that were then animated. The film will be screened, while younger visitors can colour in original colouring pages and older ones can try creating their own stop-motion animation with well-known characters together with Alexandra. At the same time, you will be able to help create a map of our shared and personal dreams.
The exhibition is part of the 11th Festival of Independent Belarusian Culture in Wrocław and is supported by NEXTA. The exhibition is open 5-8.10.23 during the Passage of Dialogue’s opening hours.

Творчая прастора “Мапа жаданняў” і выстава “Союзная палата” ад Аляксандры Канафальскай.
“СОЮЗНАЯ ПАЛАТА” (2022-2023) – сатырычны анімацыйны серыял ад кампаніі NEXTA, намаляваны і ажыўлены ў тэхніцы stop motion мастачкай Аляксандрай Канафальскай.
Падзеі адбываюцца ў недалекай будучыні, калі несталеючыя душой дыктатары трапляюць у псіхіятрычную клініку з разладам культу асобы і перакрыўленай карцінай рэальнасці. Лекар Сцяпан Пуціла праводзіць тэрапію, абвяргаючы галоўныя міфы пацыентаў.
Для стварэння пяці эпізодаў спатрэбілася незлічальная колькасць акварэльных дэталяў, якія і леглі ў аснову выставы.

Выстава адбудзецца ў рамках XI Фестываля Незалежнай Беларускай Культуры ва Уроцлаве і пры падтрымцы NEXTA.
Выстава будзе дзейнічаць 5-8.10.23, у часы працы Przejścia Dialogu.
