Standing with Ukraine

Support for Ukraine and its people, as well as for Wrocław residents of Ukrainian origin and their families and loved ones in Ukraine, is vital right now. That is why we are glad that Wrocław has officially expressed its support for and solidarity with Ukraine.
Today’s meeting was attended by the Mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, together with representatives of the consulates general and honorary consulates in Wrocław, including the consuls general and honorary consuls of Germany, Ukraine, Hungary, Sweden, Brazil, Spain, Georgia, India and Malta.
Jacek Sutryk stressed that those gathered are ready not only for symbolic gestures, important as these are, but also for practical help. “We are in talks with the Voivode’s services, and we will be ready with humanitarian aid should the situation in Ukraine escalate, which I hope will not happen. We are discussing specific locations – a first list of such places is already being drawn up, as well as a list of partners, including non-governmental organisations, because this is an effort that should bring together the resources and strengths of both public and non-public bodies.”
A reminder that information and support are available from our brilliant team at WroMigrant, Instytut Praw Migrantów (Migrant Rights Institute) and Nomada Stowarzyszenie
